Heart Matters - learning the basics of CPR and using a defibrillator
Chobham Parish Council with the help of Surrey Fire and Rescue is running free sessions on the basics of CPR and using a defibrillator. The planned date is Friday 6th April. The training lasts about an hour.
When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, giving CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) to keep blood pumping round the body could be a life saver.
Used in conjunction with a defibrillator to give a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall, would give an even better chance.
Chobham has two community defibrillators at the fire station and at the Parish Pavilion on Chobham Recreation Ground.
If you would be interested in joining a session please email the parish administrator, Jennifer Britt on email@example.com or call 01276 856633, so we can keep you updated.
